This Privacy Policy explains how BasisPe India Pvt. Ltd. collects, uses, stores, protects, and manages personal and technical information relating to users of the BasisPe Platform.

1. Information We Collect

To provide services, improve the Platform, prevent fraud, and maintain security, we may collect the following categories of information:

1.1 Personal Information

This may include:

  • Name

  • Email Address

  • Mobile Number

  • Full Address

  • City

  • State

  • PIN/Postal Code

1.2 Technical and Device Information

For security, fraud prevention, account verification, and Platform functionality, we may collect information such as:

  • Device Identifier;

  • Device/IMEI Information, where legally permitted and technically applicable;

  • IP Address;

  • Operating System;

  • Application/Device Information; and

  • Other technical information required for security and authentication.

1.3 Location Information

Where necessary and with appropriate permissions, location information may be used to determine whether a Customer's delivery address falls within the applicable 5-kilometre delivery eligibility zone of a registered Merchant Store.

1.4 Session and Activity Data

To determine eligibility for applicable promotional programmes, the Platform may record relevant application activity, including session duration and engagement information.

Where applicable, the system may measure whether the Customer has remained actively engaged with the application for the prescribed period.

2. How We Use Your Information

We may use collected information for purposes including:

  • Activating and managing your Premium Subscription;

  • Processing and fulfilling orders;

  • Determining applicable delivery eligibility;

  • Calculating applicable promotional/reward benefits;

  • Administering the Dynamic Promotional Pool;

  • Preventing fraudulent registrations and misuse;

  • Detecting duplicate or suspicious accounts/devices;

  • Providing customer support;

  • Processing payments and transactions;

  • Complying with applicable legal and regulatory requirements; and

  • Improving the security, functionality, and performance of the Platform.

3. Data Security and Retention

3.1 Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect personal and technical information against:

  • unauthorised access;

  • misuse;

  • alteration;

  • unauthorised disclosure; and

  • destruction.

Where applicable, information transmitted through the Platform may be protected using industry-standard encryption and secure communication protocols.

3.2 Data Retention

Personal information, transaction records, invoices, and other relevant records may be retained for the period necessary to:

  • provide the requested services;

  • maintain business and financial records;

  • comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, auditing, and regulatory requirements;

  • resolve disputes; and

  • prevent fraud or misuse.

After the applicable retention period, information may be deleted, anonymised, or securely disposed of in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
